Every time I think of that movie, I think of an evil, electric carving knife. Not sure why.

Also, big, green, smiling goblins mounted to the grille on a Western Star truck. Still not sure why.

The soundtrack was honestly the best thing about the movie. Because Stephen King should never be allowed to adapt his own material.

The crazy thing is, the shot compositions aren’t too bad, it flows pretty well, and it’s pretty compelling in its own bafflingly insane and stupid way. There are indications of some natural talent, but it’s ten to one if he *hadn’t* been high off his ass, he’d have overthought and overworked every bit of that and toned down the crazy. That would have made a bland to awful movie in a way that isn’t fun.

You’re definitely right on all parts.. the movie is a hidden gem.. and although King doesn’t want to remember it/talk about it - we still do, and because it’s amazing.

The soundtrack is also equally as phenomenal.. I love D.T. (even though there are no vocals, the song is wicked)
